Path A — Electronic CL
PLC → Amplifier → Prop Valve → Pump Swash. ~90% of offshore & marine cranes. Separate brake DCV and optional speed DCV.
Path B — Hydraulic CL
Pilot pressure direct to pump swash via joystick servo valve. No electronics in control path. Common on older Liebherr and MacGregor.
Path C — Open Loop DCV
Constant flow pump to DCV to motor/cylinder to tank. Counterbalance valves critical at 110–130% load pressure.
